Born in Talladega, AL, to the union of the late Eddie Whitson and the late Elizabeth Lynch Whitson, Diana graced the world with her presence on Saturday, February 18th, 1956, and dedicated her life to her family, friends, and community.

Diana was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist. She attended Munford High School and led a fulfilling career at Master Brand Cabinet Company, where she committed many years of hard work and dedication.

Her life was filled with joys such as shopping, cooking, and listening to music; each a testament to her vibrant personality and love for the simple pleasures in life. Diana had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her laughter and her caring nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton Chatman; her cherished children: daughters, Tosha (Tim) Young of Oxford, AL; LeAndria Richardson of Munford, AL; and her son, Cedric Richardson (Pierangeli) of Killeen, TX. She also leaves behind a stepson, Clifton Mitchell of Talladega, AL; and her adored grandchildren: Jasmine Richardson, Aubrey Young, Aysia Young, Amari Richardson, and Cedrick Richardson.

Diana's love and warmth will also be missed by her sisters, Mary Lou (Lawrence) Bush of Prattville, AL and Annie Mae (Billy) Curry of Talladega, AL; her brothers Randy (Mary Nashay) Whitson and Eddie Whitson, Jr. of Talladega, AL, and Terry Whitson of Houston, TX. She leaves behind a large, loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and countless friends, including her special friend Larsinia Hann of Talladega, AL.

Diana was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eddie and Elizabeth Whitson; her daughter, Sharon Renea Richardson and her brother Marvin Lynch.

She was a radiant soul, deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. May she rest in peace.
