Patricia “Patty” Armstrong Hall, 73, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025 at the Hock Pavillion in Durham, NC. Born on June 12, 1952 in Peoria, IL, Patty was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Patty joined the Army looking for adventure and while stationed at the 85th USAFAD in Germany, met the love of her life. She and Tony married on July 21,1979 and shared just shy of 46 wonderful years together.
While in Germany they traveled extensively around Europe, fostering their love of travel and adventure. After military service, they settled in Durham to raise a family. Patty had several job careers before finally retiring Edward Jones.
She always put others first and would go without so that family and friends would have their needs met before her. She was the most unselfish person one could know. She was not one to spend money on herself preferring to give rather than receive. Tony would lovingly call her low maintenance. An amateur chef and baker, Patty loved creating cakes for birthdays or putting on a delightful dinner for family.
Patty is survived by her husband Tony; her children Joshua Hall (Traci) and Amanda Lewis (Matt); and four grandchildren; Dylan Hall, Dalton Hall, Duke Lewis and Olivia Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) and Shirley Armstrong and her brother Michael.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Treyburn Country Club on August 3, 2025, at 2 pm.
Patty will be remembered for her unwavering love for her husband, her family and her friends. Her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Duke Hospice.
