Clarence Jennings, affectionately known as “Bay Bay,” passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, just days before his 67th birthday. Born on July 17, 1958, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Clarence was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
Clarence was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert Sr. and Ramona Dunston Jennings; his siblings Bernadette Elase, Wendell “GG,” Robert “Bubba” Jennings, Jr., and Sylvia Twitty; his grandparents James “Daddy Jim” and Mattie Dunston Sr.; and his aunt and uncles, Mary Belle and James Dunston II, and Bobby and Evelyn Bostick.
He leaves behind his wife, Jeanna Renee Jennings, and his three daughters: YaSheika, YaQuita, and YaTeika Jennings. Clarence was a proud and loving grandfather to Taquan Jennings, Zane and Zion Jennings, Alina, Jeriya, Anari, and Snow Ella Strong. His siblings also survive him: Jacqueline Jennings-McGowan of Murfreesboro, TN; Sherman (Delories) Jennings of Stonecrest, GA; Michael Jennings, Norita Jennings of Murfreesboro, TN; Kenneth Jennings of Nashville; and Kelvin Jennings of Conyers, GA. His memory will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Clarence’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and family. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his sense of humor, and the deep bonds he shared with those around him.
