It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Essie Mae Washington Hannah, who departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2025, at MUSC Health Black River Medical Center in Cades, South Carolina.

The family will be accepting friends at 296 Ron Ave, Johnsonville, South Carolina, from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 16th, and Thursday, July 17th.

Celebration of Life for Mrs. Essie Mae Washington Hannah will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem AME Church located at 1496 Muddy Creek Road, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555.

Interment will be at Bethlehem AME Church Cemetery.
