Levi Clark

Passed 07/07/2025

Levi Jerome Clark was born on April 2, 1951, in Sarasota, Florida, to the late Marian Pompey Clark and Lee Clark. He entered this world in the home of his maternal grandmother, Kathern Pompey, on 24th Street in Sarasota, Florida. Levi was the second oldest of five children born to Lee and Marian Clark.

Education: Levi was part of a pivotal moment in history, as he was among the students affected by the desegregation of schools in 1967. He attended the Booker Schools until the government mandated that black children be bussed to neighboring white schools. Levi graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1969, where he was a dedicated football player. After high school, Levi pursued higher education at Florida A&M University, majoring in pharmacy, and later attended Compton College in California. Professional Career: Upon returning home, Levi worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for several years within the Sarasota Memorial Hospital organization and other healthcare facilities in the Sarasota Manatee counties areas. He eventually became a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician within the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare system, where he dedicated his career until retirement.

Ministry: From a young age, Levi felt a call to ministry. With diligence, training, and obedience to God’s command, he became an ordained minister and evangelist. His passion was spreading the Word of God, and he traveled both nationally and internationally, including the U.S., Jamaica, and the Bahamas Islands, often accompanied by a team or traveling alone. On July 7, 2025, God called Levi home to labor no more. He is now at peace, free from pain and sorrow.
