Carol H. Patterson entered this life on February 3, 1950 as the only born daughter of the late Garner Henderson and Effie Dilworth in Memphis, TN. Carol joined hands with Jesus on July 5, 2025 with love and joy in her heart.

Carol accepted Christ at a tender age and loved the lord with all of her might. Carol was a proud graduate of Hamilton High School, class of 1968. She briefly continued her education at Shelby State Community College. Carol was employed with the Memphis Police Department until she decided to retire in 2009.

Carol leaves a legacy of love with her son James Patterson II and her daughter Lumbria Alexander. She also leaves three granddaughters, one brother, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as her best girlfriend for 40 plus years, Mrs. Avis Davis.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 11:00am-11:55am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 noon both will be held at Union Valley Baptist Church, 1051 E McLemore, Memphis, TN 38106

Internment will be in Elmwood Cemetery 824 S Dudley St, Memphis, TN 38104
