Mr. Sammie Elam, Jr. 86, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Chester, SC departed this earthly life on Wednesday June 25, 2025, at Pruitt Health in Rock Hill, SC surrounded by his caring family.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at 11:00am at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Charles Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Public viewing 2-6pm on Tuesday at King's Funeral Home 135 Cemetery Street Chester, SC.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Mrs. Melvin Elam Sr. 515 Carolina Drive Chester, SC. from 4-7pm each day beginning on Friday June 27, 2025. Please keep the Elam family in your prayers.
