Jill Roberts Pinkston, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and later made her home in Lancaster, where she touched countless lives with her warmth, charm and generosity of spirit.
She was known for her sweet nature, quick wit, and radiant kindness. Her ability to connect with others made her not only lovable but unforgettable. Life wasn’t always easy for Jill, but she met every challenge with strength, grace, and a sense of humor that uplifted those around her.
In the 1990s, Jill worked at Brenner Cadillac, where she thrived as a car saleswoman—a rare and inspiring success in a male-dominated field. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and made it her mission to help elderly women in her community learn to drive and gain independence. Her work was deeply personal and full of compassion.
A woman of faith, Jill was active in her local church, often running errands for elderly members and volunteering her time with humility and love. She also took on part-time jobs over the years, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she could.
On July 9, 2025, Jill passed away peacefully at the age of 66 at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Judith Roberts Irons and father, Joe Ray France, Sr.
Jill is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Pinkston; her loving children, Tara Paige, Ambry Pinkston and Carissa Pinkston; her siblings, Robyn Yancey, Joel France, Tony Foster, Sharna Flood and Jamar Foster; her cherished cousins, Tabby Roberts and Eric Roberts; other relatives and friends.
“Her kindness was her legacy, and her laughter our memory. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.”
