Graveside service for Lue Ida Tolbert, 74, of Homewood, IL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday. July 18, 2025, at Andrew Chapel Church Cemetery, 72 Battle Road, Hurtsboro, AL, 36860, Reverend Andrew Peoples will officiate.

Ms. Tolbert, who passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at her home in Homewood, Illinois, was born October 5, 1950, in Macon County, Alabama.

There will be no public viewing.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Darlene Tolbert of Opelika, AL; two grandchildren, Daphne Nelms and Benjamin Nelms both of Opelika, AL; two sisters Sadie (Willie) Ligon of Auburn, AL and Betty Oliver of Opelika, AL; special nephew, Demetrious Ligon of Opelika, AL; two special cousins, Walter Torbert of Auburn, AL and Johnnie Mae Tolbert of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
