Mr. Almus Little, Jr. was born on September 7, 1941, to the late Sally and Almus Little Sr. On July 15, 2025, he peacefully transitioned into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.

Public viewing Will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home

Celebration to the Christian Life, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 1:00 P.M. Lofton A.M.E. Church, 1478 Campground Road, Wrens, GA. Interment will be held in Lofton AME Church Cemetery.

Almus was educated through the Jefferson County School System and later committed 27 years of devoted service to the Richmond County Board of Education. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he worked with excellence and pride until his well-earned retirement.

Outside of his career, Almus enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fan of classic westerns and the Parade of Quartets. Among his many talents, he was especially known for his signature homemade hot sauce—a bold and unforgettable recipe that reflected his vibrant personality.

Almus brought joy wherever he went. His quick wit, sense of humor, and infectious laughter left lasting impressions on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence was a source of light and positivity, and his love for family and friends was unwavering.

He was preceded in death by three of his children: sons Tyrone and Carl Little, and daughter Justine Little.

Almus is lovingly remembered by his children: Rodney Little of Louisville, GA; Earl Little (Catherine) of Augusta, GA; and Calvin Little of Wrens, GA, whom he raised as his own. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Shirley Williams (Curtis) of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren: Angelo Allen, Kiyata Little, Lashonda Little, Renita Doleman, and Valerie Roberts; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Sweet Williams Personal Care Home of Augusta, Georgia, for their compassionate care and support.

Almus Little will be remembered with love, admiration, and gratitude for the joy, strength, and wisdom he shared throughout his life.
