Mrs. Carolyn Armstrong age 76, of 80 W. Smith St., was born March 9, 1949 to the late Martha Turner and Lonzie Turner. She was one of eight children, four of which preceded her in death, Alvin Turner, Louise Turner, Leroy Turner and John Turner.

Carolyn made her transition on Monday, June 23, 2025 at her residence.

Service of Celebration will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Hope Williams Memorial Park, Wadley, GA, at 5:00 P.M.

Carolyn was a native of Wadley, Georgia, a 1967 graduate of Jefferson County High School. She then enrolled in Job Corps in Portland Maine where she completed the seamster program. Upon graduation she relocated to Bronx, New York to pursue her career. She worked at the American Drapery and Carpet Company from the early 1970’s to the mid 70’s. Carolyn later relocated to Detroit, Michigan, she worked numerous years at the University of Michigan in Household Management.
