Bernice Turner Barr, age 77, of Macon, NC departed this life on July 19, 2025 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

Memorial Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Warrenton, North Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her husband, Joe Lee Barr; one daughter, Robin Barr-Hawley (Walter); two grandchildren, Aniyah D. Barr and Deidra L. Barr both of Macon, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Zoey M. Barr and Ziya M. Barr; one brother, Bernard Turner (Judith) all of Macon, NC; seven in-laws, Dorothy Mae Moore of California who was her best friend before she became her sister-in-law, Mary Hester Jefferson (Andrew) and Wendy Lashley-Ashford both of Illinois, Judy Washington, Kim Pollard (Carlos), Anthony Barr, Jesse Barr all of Maryland; along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, adopted school bus children, and friends.
