Ms. Gail Flowers

Passed 07/22/2025

Gail Flowers, 68, of High Point, NC, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unshakable faith. Born on May 15, 1957, in Macclesfield, Edgecombe County, NC, Gail was the beloved daughter of the late Bessie Cobb Flowers and William Earl Flowers, who she now joyfully reunites with in Heaven.

A devoted sister and aunt, Gail’s life was a reflection of her deep faith in God and her steadfast love for family.

Gail attended Ragsdale High School, where she graduated before beginning her journey in the United States Navy. Her military service laid the foundation for a life of courage and discipline. Although she later changed career paths, her work life was filled with leadership roles where she touched lives with grace, humor, and excellence. She was a proud member of Recovery Inc. Ministries, where she served faithfully as a hostess, greeting everyone with her warm smile and her down-to-earth spirit.

Gail was known for her love of reading, attending Bible study, and enjoying quiet moments on the porch with family and friends. Her presence was steady and comforting—whether offering encouragement, speaking truth with her signature “realness,” or making you laugh when you needed it most. People will remember her as a mentor, a prayer warrior, and a woman whose love for God radiated through everything she did.

She is survived by her sister, Vivian Hayes; nephews, Robert Durant Hayes III and William Hayes (Candace); her niece, Ebony Gail Hayes; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends who adored her.

While her family will miss her hugs, her wisdom, and even her playful humor, they find peace in knowing Gail is now walking the streets of gold with the Lord, and smiling brighter than ever.

A celebration of Gail’s life will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
