Mrs. Elizabeth Robbins, 90, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1935, in Albany, Georgia, to the late Walter Alexander Sr. and Bessie Williams. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis, and her daughter, Ivey Robbins. Elizabeth was born into a large family and was the oldest of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ben Williams (Melva), Gary Alexander, Otis "Duce Cat" Alexander, Walter Alexander Jr. (Barbara), Will Alexander, and her sister, Betty Alexander.
Elizabeth moved to High Point in her early years and built a loving home with her late husband, Willis Dalton Robbins. Together, they raised a family that was grounded in love and faith. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
A faithful member of Pearson Memorial A.M.E. Church, Elizabeth was an active participant in church activities and a role model of steadfast faith. Her involvement in the church enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She was deeply involved in the lives of her grandchildren, always offering words of encouragement, love, and wisdom.
Elizabeth had a long and fulfilling career, retiring from Warvel Products in Linwood, NC, after many years of dedicated service. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything she did, and she built lasting relationships with her colleagues.
Known for her strength, compassion, and generosity, Elizabeth will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her faith in God, and her ability to always bring light into any room. She was a nurturing presence in her community, a mentor to those she loved, and a faithful servant to her church.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Charita “Kay” Robbins, Benekia Robbins, Brittany Robbins, and Wendell Robbins; her grandchildren Khristian, Kaleb, McKenzie, Iveyonna, Iveion, Jaceyon, and King; her sisters, Susan Alexander and Patty Alexander, along with a number of nieces, nephews, close cousins near and far, and their families, who will cherish her memory and the lasting impact she had on their lives.
Elizabeth’s family is grateful for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. Her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life will be held on August 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Pearson Memorial A.M.E. Church, 835 E. Washington Street. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
