On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Stacey B. Rumley 54, of Emmett St., Martinsville peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at SOVAH Health-Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville, VA on January 25, 1971, the daughter of Larry Pritchett and the late Pearl Hairston.

In addition to her mother, Stacey was preceded in death by two sisters, Stepanie Hairston and Dalphine McGhee

Stacey was a member of New Beginnings Holiness Church. She was employed by Biscuitville for seventeen years. Stacey was a graduate of Martinsville High School class of 1989.

Stacey leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Donnell Rumley of the home; two daughters, Sherika L. Hairston and De'Erica D. Hairston Lawrence) both of Martinsville, VA; one son, Ja'Rez O. Turner of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren; one sister, Sherika Hairston of Martinsville, VA; one brother, Larry Hairston of Martinsville, VA; stepdaughter, Lashonda Rumley of Martinsville, VA; one stepson, Antwan Howard of Greensboro, NC; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 12 noon at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Echols, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Chestnut Knob Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 1965 Chestnut Knob Rd., Martinsville, VA.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Sherika Hairston, 1111 Ranson Rd., Martinsville, VA.
