Mr. Isaiah Love, Jr.

Passed 06/27/2025

Mr. Isaiah Love, Jr., more affectionately known as “Uncle Ponk,” was born on December 20, 1943, in Thomaston, GA. He received his early education at Collins school. At an early age, he joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.

When he became a young man, as most men during his time, he went to work on the farm. He endured farm work and was a hard worker. Later in his adult life, he found employment with Gary Jones Construction. He continued with this company most of his working career. The Lord blessed him with a good strong life.

In 2010, he met Ms. Alisicia Davis. They were married on October 16, 2010. They shared eleven years together until her passing on July 27, 2021.

After the passing of his wife, he moved in with his niece, Mary Smith. He found Contentment with his sister, Mary Ella, his niece and family, as they lovingly cared for him. During his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, sitting on the porch and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother, Idialia Knight Riggins, Rose Mae Parks, Carrie Bell Sanford, Susie Maude Williams, Virginia Monroe and Frances Chambless and Charlie Love, Sr. On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Lord called him from labor to reward. He found rest at the close of the day for weary soul.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one stepson, Mr. Antony Silver of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ella Harris of Zebulon, GA; one devoted niece, Mrs. Mary Harris (Anthony) Smith of Zebulon, GA; several sisters and brothers-in-law, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
