Frank Edward Anderson

04/08/1949 - 07/27/2025

Frank Anderson (affectionately known as Bee Bop and also known as Maverick) was born on April 8, 1949, to Willie and Mary Anderson in St. Augustine, Florida. He attended Richard J. Murray High School. Frank married Sherrell Jones on July 17, 1987, in St. Augustine. He worked as a dedicated custodian with the St. Johns County School District for 30 years and also served faithfully at St. Vincent de Paul for 10 years.

Frank had a deep love for working in his yard, planting flowers, playing basketball, and shooting pool with his son, nephews, and brother-in-law. More than anything, he cherished time with his family. He loved to laugh and tell jokes—especially with his son and nephews—and his humor and warmth brought joy to all who knew him. He was a devoted father, husband, and uncle, and believed that one of his greatest purposes in life was guiding his son and nephews from boys to men. He led by example, teaching them to be good fathers, loving husbands, and strong, faithful men. He reminded them to always keep a job, stand firm in their beliefs, and to put God and family first, because, as he often said, “That’s what our mother taught us.” Frank also loved spending time with his daughter whether it was riding to the store or sitting in the yard talking and joking around, they had a special bond. Frank would often say, “Love and God are the key to an awesome life.” And he proudly declared, “We are ANDERSON STRONG. Together we stand, and on our knees, we can break any chain. Prayer is our weapon.” Frank was a wise man, one whose legacy will continue through the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely.

He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents, Willie and Mary Anderson; his grandmother, Sweetie Bell Anderson; grandfather, Darrell Winfield; brothers, Donald Anderson and Willie Anderson Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Anderson and Joyce Anderson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Sherrell Anderson; sons, Kelvin Early, Kadyn Anderson, Irvin Anderson, and Tyler Anderson; daughter, Briana Anderson; brothers, Elder Clarence (Connie) Anderson, Deacon Harold Anderson, Everett (Lacheryl) Anderson, Angelo (Evangelist Thwanda) Anderson, and Lavar (Serena) Anderson; sisters, Minister Shirley (Sylvester) Moore, Minister Rozenia Anderson, and Patricia (Reggie) Floyd; sisters-in-law, Gloria Anderson, Barbara Whitmore, and Liz Oliver; granddaughter, Kayla Early; grandson, Kevon Early; granddaughter, Kali Early; great-grandsons, Elijah Early and Zyaire Brooks; godson, Paul Anderson; aunties, Annie Bell McCloud and Deanna William; special niece, Ayouna Anderson; special nephew, Donald Anderson Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and dear friends.
