OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Holy Ghost Parish Life Center in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Earl George, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Parade”, 94, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be the celebrant at the Mass of Christian burial.

Mr. George’s memories are being cherished by: his two sisters, Mary G. Laviolette and Rose G. Williams, both of Opelousas, LA; his Godchild, Geraldine Thomas of Opelousas, LA; one grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Dupree and Bertha Landrio George, one son, Terry Tyler; five brothers, Lionel George, Junius George, Murphy George, Bervick George and Paul George; and four sisters, Hilda Fisher, Irene Alfred, Marie George and Lorenia Greene.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Holy Ghost Parish Life Center in Opelousas, LA. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m.
