Mr. Paul Curtis Burton

Mr. Paul Curtis Burton entered into rest Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Paul was born on February 12, 1963, to the late Willie Burton and late Elizabeth Burton of Augusta, Georgia.

Paul was educated in Richmond County School System where he graduated from Glenn Hills High School in 1981. He entered the workforce with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Over the years, he held positions at Kennametal and Progress Rail as a machine operator, where he was known for his dedication. He later joined Morgan Advanced Materials as a Quality Control Operator, where he proudly worked until his retirement in 2023.
Paul loved the Lord and served on the usher board at Carpentersville Baptist Church for many years. He was a loving father and friend, known for his big heart, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to the Miami Dolphins and LeBron James. His ability to make others laugh was one of his greatest gifts.

On April 29, 1989, he united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Connie of Edgefield, South Carolina, and their union bore two children, Meagan Burton and Kia Burton-Outler.

Paul leaves to cherish his dynasty: his children Vantrose Reeves, Brandon (Katie) Bennett, Meagan Burton and Kia (Ashleigh) Burton-Outler; two grandchildren, Joseph Bennett and Kaiyln Black. Three brothers, Kenneth Burton of Augusta, GA, Steven (Audrey) Burton of Graniteville, SC, Russell (Shericia) Burton of Augusta, GA, two sisters, Ophelia Tennyson and Kimbi Overton both of Augusta, GA; god parents, Jimmy (Annette) Cofer of North Augusta, SC, mother-in-law, Roberta Buggs of Edgefield, SC; sister in law, Linda Bush of Augusta, GA; brother in laws, George (Brenda) Buggs of Edgefield, SC, Toney Buggs, of North Augusta, SC and Daniel Buggs of Miami, FL; two grand-pups, Macho and Slate and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00AM at Carpentersville Baptist Church, 415 Carpentersville Road, North Augusta, SC. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens, 450 W. Five Notch Road, North Augusta, SC.
