Janice Lawrence, 65, passed on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Fryer, officiating. Burial to follow in Evening Sunset Memorial Gardens. Public viewing is 1:00 p.m. EST to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Janice, affectionately known to many as “Diann”, was born on February 5, 1960, to the late Mrs. Miley Mae Gosha and reared by her mother and stepfather, the late Mr. Ike Gosha in Phenix City, AL. She was educated in Phoenix City Public School System. She was a proud graduate of Central High School’s Class of 1978. Big Di spent decades as a dietitian at Phoenix City Healthcare Nursing Home and later joined the team at Southern Phenix Textiles until her retirement. She worshipped as a member of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Miley Mae Gosha.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Sister Janice’s precious memory is cherished forever by her family that included: her three devoted children, Keyandi (Stephanie) Harte and Quaniion (T’asha) Lawrence both of Phenix City, AL and Alexandria (Tavorris) Stinson of Columbus, GA; two sincere granddaughters, Keymora and Hillary; five amazing grandsons, Anthony, Keegan, Khari, Amari, and Jahbari; her three protective brothers, Anthony (Shandra) of Seale, AL, Andre’ (Demeiter) Lawrence of Montgomery, AL, and Illya (Tanisha) Lawrence, Sr. of Smiths, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
