It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Eddie L. Johnson.

Mr. Eddie L. Johnson, 77, died Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 16, 2025 at New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Viewing will be from 12:00 (noon) to 6:00 P.M. Friday, August 15, 2025 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

Survivors include five children, Andre (Jeriesha), Kevin, Steve and Tremaine Johnson and Taisha (Brian) Alexander; four brothers, Josephus (Anna), Willie (Sandra) and Robert (Patricia) Johnson and Shawn Herring; 9 grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.
