David L. Stallion, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. David L. Stallion Sr., Pastor, Eulogist, Bishop Larry R. Garrett, officiating. Burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Public viewing is 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
David Lee Stallion (Stallings) was born on February 19, 1944, in Phenix City, AL to the late Henry and Ollie Wiggins Stallings, Sr. He was educated in the Phenix City School System and worked at Eagle & Phenix, Fieldcrest Cannon, Pillowtex Mills for more than thirty years until he retired.
He received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. He was known for an array of God given abilities endeavoring in areas of carpentry, plumbing and auto mechanics to name a few, that aided his family and others when the time arose for needed repairs. His athletic abilities included basketball and baseball. He was a fan of football, his favorite teams were Central High School Red Devils, Alabama Crimson Tide, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also an outdoors person, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work and grilling in which he was a grill master within his own right.
David departed this life into the divine care of the Lord Jesus Christ, resting from his labor until the general resurrection of the dead and rapture to come, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Columbus Hospice of Georgia and Alabama.
He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Roderick Stallion; mother, Ollie Stallings; father, Henry Stallings Sr., and sister, Betty Kimbrough.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, a loving and devoted wife, Beatrice Garrett Stallion; children, Rev. David Stallion Jr., (Tammy), Min. Clinton Stallion, (Adren), Terrance Stallion, (Felicia), Ricky Thomas, Rodney Abram, (Tanya), Gloria Porter, (Schuyler), Shilena Leatherwood Henderson, (Willie), Demetria Henderson; brothers, Rev. Henry Stallings Sr., (Lorene), Fred Stallings, (Helen); sister, Hettie Lane, (Robert); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
