A precious one from us is gone; a voice is still. A place is vacant in our home, which can never be filled.
Sister Sarah Nell Daniel was born July 5, 1942 in Phenix City, AL to the late Lovie Phillips and Izola Garrett. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she was actively involved with the Matron, Missionary and Deaconess Ministry until her death.
On August 6, 2025, Sister Sarah Daniel transcended her earthly life for a richer and peaceful eternal life with Jesus Christ in Columbus, Georgia.
She worked at Swift Textile Mill, Fieldcrest, and Dolly Madison. She was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger and always had a joke to share. She was always there to take somebody to an appointment, store, or wherever they needed to go. She kept her little burgundy car on the road! She loved to cook and feed others. Sweet Potato Pies were her specialty. She was always helping somebody. She was known as Momma to her children, Grandma to her grandchildren, and Grant to her great-grandchildren.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Deacon Roosevelt Daniel Sr. May 25, 1959.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two grandsons Cordero and Terrance Daniel. Two sons-in-law, Freddie Denson Sr. and Freddie Farley and one great granddaughter, Raiannah Marshall.
She leaves to cherish her memories of three sons, Minister Nathaniel (Janice) Daniel, Michael (Ida) Daniel, Roosevelt (Gussie) Daniel Jr. all of Phenix City, Alabama. Three daughters, Barbara Farley of Columbus, Ga, Charlene (Abe) Murray, and Tabatha Denson both of Phenix City, Alabama. One God daughter, Lillie Crowell-Allen of Phenix City, Alabama. One God son, Greg Lester of Phenix City, Alabama. One brother, Benjamin (Joyce) Phillips of Seale, Alabama and one sister, Izola Sanders of Phenix City, Alabama. Twelve Special grandchildren: Jeffrey, Andre, Christina, Derrick, Sidney, Lakina, Marquise, Antron, Danielle, Courtney, Freddie Jr, and Ta’nya. Four sisters in laws, Laura McKissic, Queen Allen, Betty Jean Daniel and Dorothy Daniel. Thirty-three Great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
