Linda Faye Martin Smith was born December 16, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of George Martin, Sr. and Lue Willie McKinney Martin. Linda was of the Baptist faith, serving faithfully and dutifully at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church as an usher and choir member under the leadership of Reverend Bobby Patterson. She worked may years at the Blytheville Walmart Super Center, greeting the customers with a warm and welcoming smile. Linda loved spending her time with her family, she enjoyed shopping, going to church at Mt. Moriah, working puzzles, and playing games on computer.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lue Willie Martin, her husband, Earnest Lee Smith, and her sister, Georgia Ann Martin.
Those left to cherish precious memories are one son, Antonio Martin of Blytheville, Arkansas; two daughters, Lynette Martin of Blytheville, Arkansas and Suzanne (Samuel) Jones also of Blytheville, Arkansas; three brothers, George (Gale) Martin, Jr of St. Louis, Missouri; Larry (Barbara) Martin of Tunica, Mississippi; and David Martin of Blytheville, Arkansas; three sisters, Ruby (James) Gray of Blytheville, Arkansas; Annie Jean Merritt of Blytheville, Arkansas and Rose Greer also of Blytheville, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 912 South Lake Street, Blytheville, Arkansas where Reverend Bobby Patterson is the pastor.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 16,2025 at 12:00 noon. At Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Theodis Rucker will deliver the eulogy.
