Minnie Mae (Capers) Williams was born on May 10, 1951, in Wake County, North Carolina, to Lillie Mozetta and Abraham Capers.
Minne graduated from Fuquay Varina High School in 1968, and a year later she married the love of her life Floyd W. Williams. To this union, they welcomed their first child in 1970. In 1971, Minnie and Floyd relocated to Boston with their growing family in search of better opportunities.
In her early years in Boston she gained employment at Sweethearts Paper Company. Minnie also attended nursing school becoming a nurse assistant at the Dimock Center and later worked for the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital for over 30 years where she retired.
Minnie's spiritual journey began when she joined Deliverance Church in the 1970s under the leadership of the late Bishop Hamby Sr. In the 1980s, she moved her membership to the Way of the Cross Church under the leadership of the late Overseer Edith M. Kelley. Under Overseer Kelley's mentorship, Minnie grew in grace, love and the teachings of the Bible. She was committed to her spiritual growth and strived to live a life aligned with the Word of God. Years later, Minnie joined Word of Life Tabernacle and in 2018 was elevated to the office of Deaconess.
