It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret “Brenda” Green Craven, who departed this earth on July 28, 2025. Born on May 20, 1944 to the parents of Fred and Viola Green. She was the oldest of five children, Kay F. Miller, Alfreda L. Ramseur, Sandra L. Blakney and Fred A. Green Jr.
She was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness to all who knew her. Brenda dedicated her life to her
family, instilling values of compassion, resilience, and joy. She was a member of Harshaw Grove Baptist
Church in Randleman, NC. Her warmth and kind heartedness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
As a devoted mother, Brenda nurtured her children with unwavering love and support, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams. She was an exceptional friend and confidante, whose laughter could light up any room. Her passion for singing, playing the piano, and music enriched her life and those around her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Veronica Green (Tim), Richard Craven, Phyllis Harris, David Craven (Michelle), her grandchildren; Andre’ Harris Jr. (Devyn), Ryan Harris (Dorothy), Alexis Green, Ariel Harris, Cassidy Craven and Samantha Craven, her great grandchildren; Doreun, MaKaila, Zion, Rylee, Rylyn, Aaliyah, Nia, Nyla, and Akai, one sister; Sandra L. Blakney (Jerry) and a brother, Fred Anthony Green Jr., one aunt Ernestine Coble, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
We will remember Brenda not only for her remarkable laughter, sense of humor, and spirit but also for the
countless memories she created with us. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire us each day. In
honoring her memory, let us strive to embody the kindness and grace she exemplified throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held on August 23, 2025 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 at 12 noon, where we will celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary woman.
Brenda will be laid to rest immediately following the memorial service at the cemetery of Harshaw Grove Baptist Church, Randleman, NC.
