Albert Manson, Sr.

Albert Manson Sr., age 76, of Byron, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born on April 12, 1949, in Byron, Georgia, he was the son of the late Mr. Ellis "Mill" Manson Sr. and Mrs. Mary Manson.

Albert attended Hunt High School in Fort Valley, Georgia, and went on to build a long and respected career as a truck driver. He spent over 40 years on the road, with much of his career driving for Borden Dairy in Macon, Georgia. Known for his strong work ethic and quiet determination, Albert took pride in his work and in providing for his family.

Albert was united in marriage to Donella Manson, and together they shared over 34 years of love,and devotion. Together they raised four children.

In addition to his work and family life, Albert had a deep passion for working on and building cars. He enjoyed fishing on quiet days, watching wrestling matches, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Atlanta Falcons. His hobbies brought him joy and were often ways he connected with friends and loved ones.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Donella Manson of Byron, GA; one son, Albert Ray Manson of Warner Robins, GA; three daughters, Tonya Manson of Philadelphia PA, Lamecca Brown of Warner Robins, GA, and Brianna Williams (Steven) of Bonaire, GA; and twelve beloved grandchildren.

He is also survived by five brothers: Johnny Lee Manson (Alfrieda) of Macon, GA; Ellis Manson Jr. (Elizabeth) of Kathleen, GA; Steve Manson (Rose) of Byron, GA; Elder Lonzie Thomas of Fort Valley, GA; one sister, Mary Beulah Solomon of Fort Valley, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Manson (Wilma) and James (Joann) Manson Byron GA.

He held a special bond with his favorite cousin, Janie Zanders, and was blessed with the companionship of many lifelong friends who will remember him with great affection.

Albert will be remembered for his gentle spirit, hardworking nature, and the love he gave so freely. Whether under the hood of a car, beside a fishing line, or in front of the TV during a Falcons game, he lived a life full of simple joys, deep connections, and lasting impact.
