Jackie Harold Dupin, 71, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2025.

Jackie was a gifted athlete whose talents left a lasting mark on Kentucky high school sports. He is one of only two athletes in the state’s history to have played in the state championship games for football, baseball, and basketball. A proud Elizabethtown High School Panther, Jackie was a member of the 1969 State Championship Football Team, the 1970 State Championship Baseball Team, and the 1972 Basketball State Runner-Up Team.

Following high school, Jackie continued his athletic career at Murray State University, where he played football. Upon returning from, Murray State, Jackie joined his father, working at the family store in downtown Elizabethtown, Western Auto. Jackie’s lifelong commitment to sports was further recognized in 2015, when he was inducted into the Elizabethtown High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Beyond his playing days, Jackie remained deeply involved in athletics as a high school sports official for more than four decades. He officiated football, basketball, and volleyball for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), earning the respect of coaches, players, and fellow officials across the state.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edith Dupin, and his sister, Netella Davidson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Carol Dupin; his son, Adam Dupin (Christy); his sister, Robynn Heffer (Lance); and his beloved grandchildren, Alexis (Zach), Hunter, Tyler, and Cadence.

In accordance with his wishes, the family has chosen cremation.

Jackie will be remembered for his extraordinary athletic accomplishments, his lifelong dedication to youth sports, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the American Legion Golf Course in Elizabethtown.
