OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Albert Ricardo Dixon, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Rico”, 35, who departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Calcutta House – Hospice of Acadian in Lafayette, LA.

Rico was born on June 26, 1990, in Opelousas, Louisiana, to Patsy J. Dixon and Albert Landrio. From the very beginning, his life was filled with warmth, laughter, and a deep love for his family. Those who knew Rico will always remember his kind spirit, bright smile, and the joy he brought into every room he entered.

Rico leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his devoted mother, Patsy Dixon; his father, Albert Landrio; his brothers, Winston Florence, Jr. (Rhonda) and Phillip Landrio (Shantel); and his sister, Inga Dixon (Lakeith). He will be deeply missed by his four nephews—Jaylon Florence, Waylon Miller, Winston Florence III, and Kaleb Miller—and his three nieces—Aniyah Florence, M’chayla Miller, and Legacy Lemelle. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, extended family members (including special cousins, Annette & Bethany and uncle James Jason), and dear friends who loved him greatly, especially Trinh Huynh.

Rico is reunited in eternal rest with his grandmother, Hilda Jack; his aunt, Mae Hilda Jack; his uncle, Robert Jack; his sister, Marilyn Landrio; and his nephew, Justin Florence.

Though his time with us was far too short, Rico’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
