Mario Polo Matthew Maez

02/03/1997 - 08/19/2025

Mario Polo Matthew Maez, “AKA Lil Mario” left this world unexpectedly the afternoon of August 19, 2025. He was born February 3, 1997 to Mario C. Maez and Monica Vick.

Mario lived a very ambitious and driven life. He poured every ounce of devotion and love into his wife, Leslie and son, Easton James. His world began and ended with the two of them every single day, and he never let them forget it. Everything he did, and worked for, was for them. His only purpose in life was to provide a beautiful life full of love, beautiful dreams, and everything in between for his wife and son- and he did.

Mario was a Thermite Welder on The Joint Elimination Gang for BNSF Railway. Aside from his wife and son, one of his greatest accomplishments was being a member of "The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way"- EMPLOYEES DIVISION # 32552. Those men became his brothers and his family and he loved and respected them as such. He was an incredible friend to any of those lucky enough to call him a friend.

He loved boating, hunting, 4-wheeling, and snowboarding, and he loved doing it with his family by his side. His love, devotion, and intense ambition will forever live on. He leaves behind a tremendous legacy.

Mario is survived in life by his beautiful wife, Leslie Maez, and son, Easton James Maez; Father, Mario C. Maez; Mother, Monica Vick (Sean Vick); two beautiful sisters: Kayla Zuni (Phillip Zuni and daughter Brooke Zuni), and Sammy Flemming (Jeremy Flemming, and daughter Sawyer Flemming); and his loving Grandmother, Mercy Howell.
