Funeral service for Willie Owens, 72, of Auburn, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL, 36832, Bishop Calvin Daniel will officiate.

Mr. Owens, who passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette, Alabama, was born August 6, 1953, in Chambers County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Monday, August 25, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Dr. Leslie Holifield of Birmingham, AL and Olando Landon Owens of Opelika, AL; one sister, Ruby Baker of Auburn, AL; three brothers, Victor Owens of Birmingham, AL, Edward (Sherri) Owens of Houston, TX and Steven Jackson of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Mary Lawery of Lafayette, AL; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Owens of Houston, TX; two nieces, Delaney Moore and Kenya Moore both of Auburn, AL; five nephews, Anthony (Jennifer) Owens of Auburn, AL, Marcus Owens, Justin Owens both of Columbus, GA, Sherick Owens and Quenton Owens; host of cousins and friends.
