Mrs. Amanda Louise Raye Brown, born on 22 September 1939 to the late Mr. Adam and Mrs. Lillie Bell Raye, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on August 21, 2025.

Homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, GA.

Interment will be held in the Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church Cemetery, 1009 Scruggs Circle, Bartow, GA.

Public viewing will be held Friday. August 29, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

A proud graduate of Carver High School, Wadley-Bartow, Georgia, in the Class of 1958, she exemplified dedication throughout her life.

Mrs. Amanda devoted her career to Home Health Care, pouring her heart into caring for others and her family. As an active Usher Board Member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, she enriched the lives of those around her, fostering a deep sense of community and belonging among her fellow congregants.

Beyond her professional and church commitments, she embraced life through her passions for fashion, shopping, traveling, and nurturing her yard.

Mrs. Amanda is preceded in death by her father, mother, and cherished siblings: Willie Albert Raye, James Lee Raye, Adam Raye Jr., Charles Raye, Johnny Raye, Emma Watson, Lena Poole, Carrie Smith, and Rosa Williams.

She is survived by her loving son, Orion (Lenora) Curry Jr of Wadley, Georgia. Her legacy shines brightly through her grandchildren, Betty (Chester) Johnson of Bonaire, Georgia, and Detrick Walden of Wadley, Georgia, as well as her great-grandchildren, Tristan, Emilee, and Titus Johnson of Bonaire, Georgia, and Detrick Jr, Haley, Zamorah, Daveon, and Samantha Walden of Louisville, Georgia. She also leaves behind a vibrant circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom carry her spirit forward.
