Shirley Jean Bales Haddad
1968 – 2025
Shirley was born in Kirksville Missouri on April 8th, 1968, she passed away in her home in Rhome, TX at the age of 57 on August 23rd, 2025. Nicola and Shirley were married at Southside Baptist Church in Kirksville Missouri, June 6th, 1987. Shirley was a woman of servitude, gratitude, joy, and love. She showed her love with devotion to her Lord and Saviour, her family, and her friends. For those who have met her, you would see her love and passion burst through. You would see this love while she taught and was playful with her grandchildren. She had such joy in her heart when she was able to serve others. Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a large family, some who have passed before her and others who survived after, below is a record of her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Nicola Haddad. Her daughters, Rebecca Nicole Haddad, Elizabeth Nicole Haddad, and Amber Nicole Haddad. Her sons, Andrew Nicolas Haddad and Aaron Nicolas Haddad. Her Children-in-Law, Timothy David Tarpley, husband of Rebecca and Kaitlin Ashley Gillean Haddad wife of Aaron. Her grandchildren, Enoch, Amos, and Titus, children to Rebecca & Timothy, Avery, Casey, Gabriel, and Sophia, children to Aaron & Kaitlin. Her sisters, Wendy Newman and Rhonda Bequette. Her brothers, Todd Bales, Steven West, and Dan West.
She was preceded by her father, Daniel “Dow” West, stepfather, Clarence McKim, and mother, Shirley Mae Dixon, all have passed but are remembered.

There will be a viewing at White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX on Thursday August 28th, from 6-8pm.
There will be a funeral service at Bible Baptist Church in Bowie, TX on Friday August 29th, starting at 10 a.m.
Shirley will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie TX.
Shirley loved to read the Bible and below are some of the scriptures she held dear:
Proverb 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Romans: 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
