Mr. Henry Lee Blount, 79, of Attalla, AL passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Mr. Henry Lee Blount was born on August 24,1946 to the late Mr. Ellis Blount Jr. & Mammie Blount.

He was a member in good standing at the Antioch United Methodist Church.

He graduated from Norris High School.

Henry was a longtime employe with the City of Attalla and was there until he retired. He was known to be a jokester, and he loved to make people laugh. He was also known for twisting words around. He loved music and he loved to dance. He was a diehard Alabama fan and very well known for his little Alabama car with the elephant horn.

Everyone knew that car.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Ellis Jr. & Mammie Blount; brothers, Joe Blount Sr, Billy Blount, and Ellis Blount Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories to: A very special nephew, Joe Blount (lil Joe}; sister, Ann Ash of OH; In-laws, Loretta Blount; special friends, Hat Williams, M s. Elizabeth Graves, Sherman Beaman and Floyd West and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be from 12noon-5pm on Saturday, August 30,2025.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm on August 31, 2025 at the West Gadsden Funeral Home ( Reverend Dr. G.E. & Betty Robinson Chapel) with Burial Rainbow Memorial Gardens
