As we lay our compassionate and loving Vivian Evans to rest, we want to remember her as a caring wife, giver to all and loving mother. Vivian Evans was born October 9,1956 to Mary E. Mitchell and Willie Mitchell, both who preceded her in death in 2004 and 2010.

A proud graduate of Greene County High School, Class of 1977, Vivian Evans pursued her career as a Director at Senior Citizen for 30 plus years in Greensboro, Ga., in addition to Data Programmer for 10 years at the Senior Citizen Center in Elberton, Ga.

Her dedication, wisdom and love for others made her exceptional at her job; and she was well admired by her colleagues and clients. Nevertheless, Vivian took pride in helping others her entire life. Beyond her profession, Vivan loved giving back to the community, helping others and making beautiful memories with her family and friends. Her selfless and compassionate nature radiated through everything she did. She always put others first, offering care, concern, and support to everyone she encountered.

On December 10, 1993, in Sparta Ga, she married her love, Tommy Evans Sr, her devoted husband of 32 years with whom she built a life filled with love, happiness, and family. Together they raised four wonderful children. Vivan’s faith and giving to others was central to her life. Her connection to her faith was at New Springfield Baptist Church in Siloam, Ga where she was a member of the choir. Vivan’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all those lives she touched daily.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of kindness and love will live on in our hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ella Evans. In addition to her immediate family, Vivan shared a special bond with Cynthia Chester and Delores Rowland.

A constant source of love, wisdom, and support for her family, Vivan’s memory is cherished by her husband Tommy Evans Sr, and four wonderful children: Willam Paul Murray (Siloam, Ga), Tommy Evans Jr. (Mischelle) of Virginia Beach, Torez Evans (Lindsay) of Covington Ga and Arvern Thurgood Evans of Athens, Ga.
