Juanita Yvette Swain

Born to Robert and Christine Swain on a beautiful Sunday, October 13, 1963, Juanita blessed this world with her kindness, empathy, and unwavering dedication to the care of others. A lifelong resident of Talladega, Alabama, she was deeply cherished by each soul she touched.

Her career as a caregiver was more than a vocation; it was a calling. Those in her care felt her sincere compassion and patient nature. She spent her life giving her heart to support, comfort, and nurture others around her.

Juanita was an active and proud member of Jacobs Chapel C.M.E. Church where she shared her warm spirit serving as an usher. She greeted everyone with her infectious smile and welcoming heart. A true sports enthusiast, Juanita had an unwavering love for Alabama football, baseball and wrestling.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Angela Swain Holland; her brother, Robert Swain, Jr. (Alisha); her beloved nieces, Tangie Swain, Ariel Swain and Frieda Williams; nephews, Eric (Tanika) Holland, Winston (Carline) Holland and Michael Witherspoon; her aunts, Margaret Holmes, Barbara Embry; her uncle, Eddie Embry as well as numerous cousins, other dear relatives and cherished friends. Juanita leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, imparting indelible memories to all who knew her.

Juanita Yvette Swain peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine Henrietta Swain; her twin sister, Anita Y. Swain and Cheryl Ann Swain; her grandparents, Lucille and Isaac Underwood, Maggie Lee and John R. Swain; her aunts, Gola Embry, Louise Swain and Betty Swain ;uncles, John Swain, Irvin Swain, General Swain, James Holmes and Bobby Embry. The family finds solace in knowing Juanita is reunited with them, embraced by their love in eternity.

Juanita Yvette Swain will be remembered for her selflessness, her heart of gold, and the wonderful impact she had on everyone she met. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
