The funeral services for the late Ms. Georgia Mae “Duchess” Jackson, who departed this life on Friday, September 5, 2025, will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Jesus Christ Tabernacle of Deliverance in Sylvester, Georgia with the Pastor, Reverend Webbie Hill, Presiding. Reverend Herman West will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Shepard Memorial Garden in Sylvester, Georgia.
On March 5, 1960, a beautiful angel was welcomed into this world. Georgia Mae Jackson was born in Sylvester, Georgia to Albert Jackson and Maggie Collins Jackson.
Georgia was educated in the Worth County Public School System and graduated in 1978.
She accepted Christ as Lord of her life and worshipped at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shingler, Georgia.
Georgia was gifted with a passion and love for her family and for cooking her signature dishes, such as greens, chitterlings, and fried chicken and grilled foods.
On Friday, September 5, 2025, Georgia’s life came to a peaceful end while at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Her parents, two sisters, Fannie Mae Green Williams, Elizabeth Jackson, four brothers, James Jackson, George Jackson, Sr., David Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, have all preceded her in death.
Georgia’s life will be remembered by her loving and devoted children, Sitongue Jackson, Kendrick (Cynthia) Jackson; her adored grandchildren, Quisheima “Libby” Jackson, Benjamin Jackson, Nykeria Jackson, Kadosia Seay, Jeremiah Seay, Nehemiah Seay, Kendricka Thomas; a host of great grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Banks of Ashburn, Georgia; five brothers, Cornell Jackson, Leon Jackson, Emmitt Jackson, Charlie Bob (Gwen) Williams, all of Sylvester, Georgia, J. B. Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Jewel Jackson, Lois Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
