Andrew L. Wilson (Pop) the second child to the late Donnell L. Wilson and the late Addie B. (Honey) Crawford, was born in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

Pop as he was affectionately known by family and friends, relocated with his family to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he received his formal education in the Harrisburg Public School District. During high school, he worked as a lifeguard and later pursued a trade in electronics.

During his working career, he worked for Conrail Rail Road for over 20 years with his late brother, Sylvester W. Wilson and his late stepfather, Roosevelt Crawford.

Andrew attended Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania under Pastor Doc R. Gilmore.

He had a deep love for cooking, dancing, and singing—blessed with a beautiful voice that brought joy to those around him. In his younger years, Pop was an avid sports enthusiast, playing both basketball and football. He also had a true passion for art, often found sketching or carving intricate pieces from wood. A true jack of all trades.

At the age of 66 years, Andrew L. Wilson entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents and brother, Andrew was preceded in death by his nephews, Moses A. Coles, Jr. and Nathaniel H. Coles. He leaves to celebrate his life his son, Naje Harris; his daughter, Melony Wilson; two grandchildren, Nareem Harris and Dainyiah Dockery; his sisters, Yaivetti L. Mathes, Viola L. Collins and Susan Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.
