Mary Ann Madison

11/16/1955 - 08/31/2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Evangelist Mary Ann Madison.

Mary Ann Madison was born November 16, 1955, in Tifton, Georgia to Elder Jimmy Lee Madison and the late Mother Annie Mae Madison. Mary Ann was the third child born to the union of Jimmy and Annie Madison.

Mary Ann confessed to Christ at an early age. She worked tirelessly as a faithful member of New Covenant Holy Temple Church. Mary Ann was small in stature, only 4’8 in height but strong in spirit. She believed in the power of prayer. She had a loving yet joking personality. She was a single mother who worked hard to provide for her sons. She raised her boys, Billie, Karonn, and Jeremiah to love and honor the Lord. She was a positive influence on anyone she encountered. You could always depend on her for prayer.

Mary Ann graduated from Amos P. Godby high school in 1973. She attended FAMU and later earned a degree at Fort Lauderdale College. She was a faithful employee of Leon County where she served as a receptionist for the Leon County Courthouse and the State of Florida where she worked in Finance and Accounting for the Department of Agriculture for over 40 years until she retired.

Mary Ann entered peacefully into eternal rest at HCA Florida Capital Hospital on August 31, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Jimmy Lee Madison; her sons Billie (Stephanie) Humose and Karonn Skinner; sister Honorable Delores Madison (Andrew) Dickey; two brothers James Madison and Sgt. Carl (Joyce) Madison; step-sisters Jacquelene Madison and Christine Madison; Grandchildren Trey Humose, Zana Humose, Tyson Humose, Ethan Humose, Kendall Humose, and Phoenix Bruce. Great Grandchildren Tyson Humose, Jr., Tyrin Humose, Nico Humose and Ariyah Humose along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Jeremiah Elijah Bruce and her mother Annie Mae Madison.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at New Covenant Holy Temple with burial at Midway Community Cemetery.

On behalf of the staff and management of Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Evangelist Mary Ann Madison.
