Funeral service for John Hughley, 68, of Camp Hill, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Mt. Lovely Missionary Baptist Church, 21900 Sen Claude Pepper Drive, Camp Hill, AL 36850 with interment in Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 4 Bond Spur Road, Camp Hill, AL, 36830, Reverend Bernard Harris, Pastor, Elder Gregory Brown will officiate.

Mr. Hughley, who passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025 at WellStar Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia, was born September 9, 1956, Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 12, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Hughley will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: seven children, Michelle Collins of Opelika, AL, Ramona Wells of Detroit, MI, Kambi Armstong of Antioch, TN, Tori (Shay) Brooks, Jerry Bonner both of Chattanooga, TN, Daquan Sheely of Jackson’s Gap, AL and Micheal Macon of Phenix City, AL; mother, Sarah Elaster of Camp Hill, AL; twenty-one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Scaife of Chattanooga, TN and Rae Landrum of Camp Hill., AL; one uncle, Harry (Mary) Hart of Camp Hill, AL; a devoted companion, Elizabeth D. Thomas of Goodwater, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
