Funeral service for Rufus Kindell, 73, of Columbus, GA, will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Michael Burton will officiate.

Mr. Kindell, who passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Magnolia Manor of Columbus in Columbus, Georgia, was born October 24, 1951, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

Public viewing will be Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Stacey Kindell and Lacey Kindell both of St Louis, MO; mother, Ralphine Brooks of Opelika, AL; four grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Kindell of St. Louis, MO; one uncle, Frank Bedell of Opelika, AL; two aunts, Effie Rankin of Chicago, IL and Kate Kindell of St. Louis, MO; a host of other relatives and friends.
