Mr. Aaron Flambo Jr, 74, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Aaron Flambo, Jr. was born November 16,1949, to the late Georgia Sanders and Aaron
Flambo known as “Forrest” of Gadsden, Alabama. Aaron was the 3rd child of his eight
siblings. Growing up in Alabama, Aaron attended Carver High School and furthering his
education he enlisted in the United States Navy and reported to active duty on the US
Bomber Ship in1969.
Spring of 1968 Aaron moved to Boston Massachusetts, where he met Cheryl and joined
in marriage March 6,1971, in their union were 3 children. Aaron dedicated his love to his
children, and he was a “good provider for his family He worked many of years at Stop Shop bakery and pursued his passion to become a professional truck driver. In 1975
he obtained his truck driver license to drive 18-wheel big rig trailer trucks. Aaron
enjoyed driving long distance hauls and knew the road like the back of his hand!
While a resident of Boston he was a faithful member of the Little Zion Church of God
and Christ under the late Pastor Elder James Darby.
Aaron always with a smile had a sense of humor that would cause him to laugh at at his
own jokes. Aaron was friendly and a “happy go lucky” funny type of guy. He had a way
with people and for those who really knew him, know that he was always up to
something.
Aaron’s swag was his caps wherever he went, and his wife shares, “his collection of
caps fill every room in the house.” Aaron’s favorite color was blue and often he would
sweat red too. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends and could throw down
barbecuing on the grill and frying fish!
Aaron was a fan of Bruce Lee and Clint Eastwood Western movies as his hobby, and he
enjoyed rocking with the “Godfather of Soul” James Brown.
Aaron enjoyed working on his cars and gardening. He was crafty and built a wishing
well and benches out of scrap wood and iron as a landmark for his home in Alabama.
In 1998 Aaron returned home to Gadsden, Alabama and united with Janice, and they
married on May 9, 2011. Janice faithfully cared for Aaron as his health began to decline
over time. He continued to fellowship at Mission Baptist Church, under the leadership of
Pastor Grady Robinson of Gadsden, Alabama. During Aaron’s last moments, he
reunited his faith in God and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
On September 14, 2025, Aaron departed this life at the Erlanger Baroness Hospital in
Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Presided in death, siblings: Roger J. Flambo Sr., George E. Flambo, Edna Sanders -
Ray and Diane Flambo-Roden.
He leaves to cherish memories, his beloved wife Janice Flambo, siblings: Phillip
Franklin, Stanley J. Flambo, Marshal Ann Flambo. Children: Darlene (Ronald) Collins,
Rena, Randy (Le’Teya) Flambo, Denise (Nick) Feliz, Kyle Johnson,and Jaraiqha Allen.
Grandchildren: Shaquille (Saquanna) TeShaun, Terrence, Shakhya, Shaquan, Nia,
Brandyn, Jakari, Calvin, Jermaine, Kaileb, and Zayd. Sister- in- law Brenda Merritte, from MD. Special friends: Calvin Hutchison, Mike Dickson, John Harris, Charles Moore, James E. Macon and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
