Mr. Willie "WL" Lee

Willie Lee also known as “WL” was born June 15, 1946, in Sumner, Mississippi the son of John Lee and Ida Cole Lee. “WL” enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whether he was cracking jokes, cooking his famous barbeque, watching westerns on TV or just hanging out at Jenerette’s Store, where was the unofficial store manager.

“WL” was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Lee, his brothers, Harry Lee, John Lee, William Lee and a brother James Lee, who passed away on September 16, 2025. “WL” passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at St. Benard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 79.

He leaves behind to cherish precious memories his loving and devoted wife Iveta Lee of the home, three daughters, Patricia Lee of Chicago, Illinois; Anita Ginn of Seattle, Washington, and Lisa (Mass) Mbaye of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers, Edward Lee of Chicago, Illinois; Eneal Lee also of Chicago, Illinois; and Ernest Lee of Indiana; four sisters, Shirley Lee of Blytheville, Arkansas; Helen Lee of Chicago, Illinois; Odessa Lee of Chicago, Illinois; and Delores Lee of Ohio; a sister in law Louise Lee of Florida; thirteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Promise Land Road, Blytheville, Arkansas, where Reverend Frederick Clay, Sr. is the pastor.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am. Reverend Frederick Clay, Sr. will deliver the eulogy, with interment following in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
