Estralita departed this life peacefully on Sept.18 2025, at Ft Sanders Regional Medical Center during battle with cancer. Estralita, "Esther" served her community in customer service positions until her retirement. She was preceded in death by father, Robert L. Reed, her husband, Cecil Mackerson, beloved sister in law, Francis "Bo" Mackerson, grandson, Derek Miller Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Bettye (Robert) Reed, four daughters: Rachel Reed, Brenda Reed Miller, LaDonna Reed Morton, Ayanna R (James Houchins), two sisters: Margaret (Michael) Lindsey, Rosita (Benjamin) Davis, four grandsons: Marquis L.Reed, Keyvon Morton, Khalil Morton, Gaylord Moore III, and host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 12-12:30 p.m. with a service to follow at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.

The final resting place will be held at the Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service.
