The funeral services for the late Deacon Isaac Williams, Jr., who departed this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Reverend Christine Young-Billington will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, GA. Deacon Issac Williams, Jr. was born on July 22, 1958 in Ashburn, GA to Issac Williams, Sr. and Minnie Vail Williams.
Issac was educated in the Turner County Public School System and graduated from Turner County High School in 1978.
Issac gave his life to Christ and joined the Greater Faith Ministries, Inc. He was a member of Greater Faith for eighteen years. On June 24, 2007, Issac was ordained as a Deacon of Greater Faith Ministries. He was faithful and reliable in his duties. Issac took pride in helping others, including his family and friends.
While in high school, Issac met Elge Walker and they were high school sweethearts. On April 4, 1979, they were united in Holy Matrimony, and over the years they created their own family based on love. Issac was a devoted son, brother, nephew, uncle but most of all he enjoyed being a husband and father.
Throughout the years, Issac worked at Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration in Tifton, Georgia. Issac was quite the pro football enthusiast. His favorite team was the New England Patriots with his favorite quarterback, Tom Brady. When Issac had free time he would study in his bible from either Psalms or Proverbs as his daily devotional. Everyone talks about how Mr. Issac was always a stand up guy and down to earth.
Deacon Issac transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his residence in Ashburn, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Issac Williams, Sr. and Minnie Vail Williams; a sister, Alma Sealey; his grandparents and his aunts. Mr. Issac’s legacy is one of love, faith, wisdom, and dedication—qualities that will be a reminder by those who knew, loved and respected him.
Issac leaves to cherished and loving memories with his loving and devoted wife, Elge Walker Williams; his adored children, Anthony Williams, Briana Williams, both of Ashburn, GA; his goddaughter, Keyanna Fielder of Tifton, GA; his siblings, Retha (Dwight) Devaughn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Valerie Williams, Cynthia Johnson, Greta Williams Dunnum, Diane Williams, Bobby (Dorothy) Williams, all of Ashburn, GA, Cynthia (Frederick) Smith of Tifton, GA, Dorothy (Gerald) Holmes of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Willie (Merlin) Williams of Villa Rica, GA; two fur babies, Winston and Maxwell Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
