Funeral service for Mary Bulger, 78, of Lafayette, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church, Hwy 147 County Road 22, Waverly, AL, 36879 with interment in Essie J. Handy Cemetery, 402 B Street, Lafayette, AL, 36862, Reverend Charles Magby, Officiating, Moderator Gary L. Dixon, Eulogist.

Ms. Bulger, who passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Lafayette Nursing Home in Lafayette, Alabama, was born December 15, 1946, in Chambers County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Monday, October 6, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Ms. Bulger will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Karen “Darlene” Ferrell, Jerry Bulger, Dexter Bulger all of Lafayette, AL and Darnique (Willie) Henderson of Opelika, AL; nine grandchildren, Dameon Ferrell, Ariel Ferrell both of Lafayette, AL, Breanna McGhee of Montgomery, AL, Tyasia Thomas, Avian Lewis, Anfernee Henderson all of Opelika, AL, Kemberlin Fears of Lanett, AL, India Bulger of Dadeville, AL and Addelyn Jones of Phenix City, AL; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Angela (Christopher) Hughley of Auburn, AL and Deborah Banks of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
