Baton Rouge, LA - Johnny "Sonny" Harris transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.

A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, Sonny was raised and educated in the West Baton Rouge Parish School System and was a proud graduate of Southern University. Sonny never met a stranger and left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.

He was a man of many talents—an accomplished entrepreneur, a gifted saxophonist, and an inspiring motivational speaker.

Sonny is survived by his devoted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who cherished him deeply.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, October 17, 2025, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis St., Baton Rouge, LA 70807. Father Thomas Clark will officiate. Entombment: Heavenly Gates Mausoleum.

Services are entrusted to Hall Davis and Son Funeral Services.
