TYLER--The Celebration of Life honoring De’Monta “Mack Gee” Jaquis Brown, Sr., 32, of Tyler will be Saturday, 1pm, at Green Acres Baptist Church with Rev. Derwin Ford serving as officiant and Bishop Reginald Brazzle delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Mr. Brown transitioned October 9, 2025 in Tyler, TX.

He was born October 25, 1992 in Sherman, TX. He attended and graduated Whitehouse High School, Class of 2011. After graduation Mr. Brown enlisted in the United States Army serving four years.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge, De’Monta returned and began serving within his community. He was a coach with the Winona Wildcats Youth Football League, Lunatiq Motorcycle Club, and played with the Snipers Pool League.

Preceding him in death included a son: De’Monta Brown, Jr. and both maternal and paternal grandfathers.

Left to cherish his memories are: his wife: Shanta Brown, Tyler, TX; parents: Kimberly (Rodrick) Scott, Tyler, TX and Sylvester Brown, Sr., Sherman, TX; one son: De’Monta J. Brown, Jr., Tyler, TX; five daughters: Amyia Brown, Makayla Brown, Mariah Brown, Aalyiah Brown, De’Avah Brown all of Tyler, TX; grandmothers: Elaine Pierce, Tyler, TX and Jacqueline Blanton, Sherman, Texas; brothers: LaQualyn Rogers, Benjamin Rogers, and Darrian Lee all of Tyler, TX, Octavian Brown, Sylvester Brown, Jr., and Syldarian Brown all of Sherman, TX; sisters: Jalissa (Edmond) Rider-House and Autumn Pierce both of Tyler, TX, Alzada Butler and Syllayla Butler both of Denison, TX, Zakiyah Gordan and Maliyah Brown both of Sherman, TX and Chloe Bowen of Jackson, MS.

Public visitation will be Friday, 2 pm--8 pm at John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.
