Richard Arnold LaPlaca, 63, of Bowie, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born to Hildegard and Arthur LaPlaca, Richard lived life full throttle loving 18-wheelers, loud music, and always embracing the wild side. He was known for his bold spirit, Richard loved the thrill of a good deal and was always thinking of new ways to make things happen. His go getter attitude and hustle were a big part of what made him so unforgettable. Life was never quiet when he was around, and that’s exactly how he wanted.
He is greeted in heaven by his loving parents and sister, Who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
He is survived by his seven daughters “ The LaPlaca Girls”, and their mother, his four sisters, Beloved partner Gail Allen, and his 18 beloved grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who brought endless pride and joy to his life.
Though this wild ride of his has come to an end, his laughter, stories, and love for the open road will continue to ride on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
