Homegoing Services for Mr. Alonzo “Lonnie” Moore, will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at House of Hope Atlanta (Greater Travelers Rest B.C.), 4650 Flat Shoals Pkwy., Decatur, GA., with remains placed in repose at 10:00 A.M. Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens, Ellenwood, GA.

Alonzo was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Norma, his granddaughter, Joya L. Moore; his siblings: George Moore, Jr., Robert Lee Moore, Holloway Moore, Aaron Moore, and Catherine Howard; and his son-in-law, Tavares Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Deacon Lorenzo Jervon Moore (Mia); his daughter, Ms. Laquandra Moore Wilson; his grandchildren: Jevori Moore, Javien Moore, Tavionna Wilson, Jazmyne Moore, and Tariq Wilson; his great grand-child, Legend Wilson; his brothers, Homer Moore and Roosevelt Moore (Mary Alice); his sister, Mary Thomas; a special daughter, Ms. Darlene Byrd Guthrie; honorary grandchildren, Leon “TJ” Guthrie, Jr. and Leona Guthrie; as well as a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
